Matthew Brooks is a Principal Consultant to The Session
Law Firm. Dr. Brooks manages projects on the generation and interpretation of chemistry
and related technical data and provides advise on meeting EPA registration requirements
in the areas of product chemistry, environmental fate and residue chemistry (including
worker exposure and related issues) of pesticides. Dr. Brooks also prepares Registration
Eligibility Document (RED) and Data Call-In (DCI) responses in the areas of environmental
fate and residue chemistry.
On behalf of clients, he meets with regulatory authorities to discuss appropriate activities
to obtain or defend registrations. Dr. Brooks also manages contract laboratory selection
and protocol development and field coordination for pesticide trials as well as overseeing
development of analytical methods, Good Laboratory Practices, study completion, report
writing and submission to the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency. He further provides
guidance on registration of antimicrobial pesticides, pesticide state registration issues
(particularly California) and various other regulatory matters. Dr. Brooks has and does
provide litigation support for data compensation and other legal issues where technical
expertise is required.
